Hamptons in Blue, Bathroom Renovation Kellyville

This bathroom renovation in Kellyville takes the familiar Hamptons palette somewhere a little more personal, using layers of soft blue, crisp white and cool stone to create a bathroom that feels bright, relaxed and full of character.

The standout feature is the blue tilework. Rather than relying on colour as a small accent, glazed blue tiles stretch across the upper wall and into the shower, giving the room its identity. Their subtle variation in tone and reflective finish changes with the natural light, adding movement and depth against the quieter stone-look surfaces below.

Classic white Shaker-style cabinetry brings the design back to its Hamptons roots. The long custom vanity provides generous storage while maintaining a furniture-like appearance, complemented by brushed metal handles, wall-mounted tapware and a softly curved basin. It’s a combination that shows how custom bathroom joinery can be practical without feeling purely functional.

Curves provide another recurring detail throughout the room. Arched mirrors soften the straight lines of the cabinetry and tiles, while the freestanding bath introduces a sculptural element beneath the large windows. Traditional wall sconces add warmth and character, creating a subtle contrast with the cleaner contemporary lines of the tapware and frameless glass shower.

The shower takes a quieter approach, allowing the blue tiled wall to remain visible through clear frameless glass. A recessed niche provides practical storage without interrupting the stone-look wall, while the continuation of finishes across the bathroom helps the different zones feel connected.

Natural light plays an important role in the finished space. Plantation shutters provide privacy while still allowing daylight to wash across the pale flooring, white cabinetry and reflective tile surfaces. The result is a bathroom that feels open and airy without losing the sense of comfort that makes Hamptons interiors so inviting.

Rather than recreating a traditional Hamptons bathroom exactly, this Kellyville project uses its recognisable ingredients in a more individual way. Colour, texture, classic cabinetry and contemporary detailing come together to create a space that feels timeless, but certainly not predictable.
