Hampton Lane Kitchen, Glenhaven

There’s something effortlessly inviting about a kitchen that brings together classic elegance and a little personality. This beautiful Glenhaven kitchen renovation combines crisp white Shaker cabinetry, rich navy tones and warm timber accents to create a space that feels fresh, welcoming and perfectly suited to modern family life.

The first thing that catches your eye is the striking navy island. Its deep colour provides a beautiful contrast to the surrounding white cabinetry, while the generous stone benchtop creates a natural gathering place for family meals, casual conversations and entertaining. Designed with additional drawer storage, the island is as practical as it is impressive, making clever use of the kitchen’s available space.

Inspired by the timeless appeal of Hamptons kitchen design, the surrounding cabinetry features traditional Shaker profiles, elegant glass-front display cupboards and understated black hardware. Soft under-cabinet lighting highlights the beautiful veining of the stone splashback, adding warmth and depth to the lighter finishes. Together, these details create a lovely balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary styling.

One of the most distinctive elements of this kitchen is the way the natural timber window frames complement the design. Rather than competing with the home’s existing character, the cabinetry and finishes have been thoughtfully selected to sit comfortably alongside it. The timber flooring and warm-toned bar stools reinforce that connection, softening the contrast between the navy island and white joinery.

Behind the beautiful finishes lies a carefully considered layout. The original wide but relatively shallow footprint presented an interesting challenge, requiring generous preparation space and storage without making the kitchen feel crowded. For this Sydney kitchen renovation, our designers used the substantial island to anchor the room, while the light cabinetry, reflective stone surfaces and practical storage solutions help maintain a sense of openness.

What makes Hampton Lane particularly appealing is its balance of character and comfort. The navy island gives the space a confident personality, the traditional cabinetry brings enduring elegance, and the carefully chosen finishes create a kitchen that feels genuinely connected to the rest of the home.
